HOW IT ALL WORKS
Submitting your Enquiry
The first step to getting a quote is to send an enquiry which can be done on the Get a Quote page or simply a general inquiry is done on any of the forms, both on the homepage or below here at the bottom of the page.
Please try and fill out as much information as you can to get a quote as quickly as possible. Include in the message section any specific details when it comes to requested services such as freehand, colour schemes, creating a base and anything else you think will be of benefit for the painter to know about your miniature.
Some Miniatures will of course need to know which miniatures you want to be commissioned and their quantities.
Some miniatures will also need to know whether you are supplying and sending your own miniature and whether it needs cleaning and assembly, or if you wish for us to buy the model on your behalf.
Lastly, please specify at which tier you would like the paint job to be, selecting between Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum or Diamond quality.
All of the above will make getting a quote to you that much faster, though if you are unsure and simply wish to discuss options or have any other queries, then, please feel free to do so by emailing us on Someminiatures@gmail.com
Getting your Quote
Once we receive your enquiry, we will send you a quote covering all aspects of your commission. Of course, amendments can then be made if you would like different painting tiers than originally required, or you’d like to add or remove miniatures from your enquiry. Also if you wish to discuss colour schemes or had a change of heart, such will be taken into account before a final quote is then made with both parties coming to an agreement.

Once you are happy to proceed we will then invoice you for your 30% deposit of the total quoted. This is the initial payment which secures your model into the calendar and guarantees you a place in the queue. Please note that if you are purchasing models through Some Miniatures then these costs will also need to be paid in addition to, and at the same time as, your initial deposit payment.

Within your quote you will also be given the timeline it will take for us to start and finish the project. This changes depending on the size of the project and current workload. You will find out in your quote the estimated time for the project.

Once the deposit is paid some miniatures will wait for your model to arrive (Sent to us via courier or however you prefer) or we will buy it that very same day if you have opted for us to do so.
If after the deposit you wish to make any changes such as colour or other requests, you can still contact us and we will try our best to fit in your requests within the scope of the project. However, if there are any additions or an increase in workload, a new quote will be sent to update such changes.

Completing your comission
Once your models arrive we will update you with any necessary news and images once available, plus confirming their arrival. Please always feel free to ask for updates or see how we are doing with your models. Some Miniatures also post most commission photos on our Instagram and Facebook in case you wish to see your photos displayed there as well.

Once your commission has been completed you will receive photos showing the completed models from all angels possible. You will also receive the final invoice for the remaining amount that is owed. This final invoice is to be paid within 14 days of the invoice and pictures being sent.
Once your last payment is paid, your commission will then be sent to you via courier and you will be supplied with photo poof of postage. We recommend choosing the tracked option in regards to sending you the final product to ensure you are able to track it and it does not get lost. The worst thing that could happen after all of this is for the package not to arrive or going missing, so we fully recommend the tracking option every time even though it costs a little bit more in delivery. See more on our Delivery and Shipment page.
More details
Payment:
Once your final payment has, your commission will then be posted to and you will be supplied with photo proof of the actual postage and a tracking number (If you chose the tracking option, which we reccomend)
Model Quality
If you send in a model or models we may ask for picture proof that they are in a good condition before sending it to us, unless it is still in its original package. Ensure to secure and safely package your models as you send them so they are not damaged in transit.
Postage
All postage is calculated based on weight, parcel size, necessary packaging materials and the location it is being posted to. Postage charges are visible on your received quote and are included within the total price of your quote, from which is when we work out your initial deposit payment and subsequent completion payment.
We recommend using only courier services which offer tracking or the royal mail for Uk postage that offer the same. This is to offer you peace of mind so you do not have to worry about your parcel going missing in transit. Once your package has been processed by the courier or post office, Some Miniatures will not be held responsible for lost or damaged parcels or models.
